The Norwegian singer-songwriter returns to steirischer herbst with a special project, having spent a year compiling, translating and re-interpreting forbidden songs from all over the world. His new album Unsongs is a moving collection of political songs from Algeria, Lebanon, China, Vietnam, Norway, Mexico, Chile, USA, Israel, Russia and Great Britain. Moddi asks questions about how censorship functions, paying tribute to the writers and interpreters of the songs for their courage. In releasing the music he himself runs the risk of being banned from performing and incurring censorship. He presents his collection live at club panamur.
